Do Not Panic AS (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights.

• Account Information: Email; name and avatar (if via Google).
• Analytics: Anonymous usage data via a self-hosted analytics service.
• Service Data: Metadata necessary for real-time translation.

We do not collect special-category data (e.g. health, biometrics) or data on minors under 16 without parental consent.

3. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and scripts for analytics. We do not currently use third-party advertising or pixel services, but may integrate such functionality in the future.

4. Third-Party Processors

We engage third-party service providers for key functions, including:

• Payment processing
• Email delivery
• Analytics
• Infrastructure hosting and content delivery
• Real-time translation services

We enter data-processing agreements (or Standard Contractual Clauses) with each provider. A complete list of subprocessors and their agreements is available upon request at [email protected]

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• We retain your personal data indefinitely so long as your account exists.
• To request data export or deletion, use the controls in your profile.
• Export requests are fulfilled within 30 days by email.
• Deletion requests log you out immediately and block re-registration; data is permanently erased within 30 days. If you request deletion while an export is pending, the deletion takes priority and the export is canceled.

6. International Transfers

We host data in the EEA when possible. For any transfers outside the EEA, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure adequate protection.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and Norwegian law, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data;
• Rectify inaccuracies;
• Request export of your data;
• Request deletion of your data;
• Withdraw consent to the extent processing is based on consent.
